GeoDam Overview

Murlac GeoDams are a simple and quick to use, lightweight dam system which is cost effective and leaves minimal environmental impact when deployed and removed.

GeoDams are fabricated by Murlac from a high strength woven geo textile material stitched together with seamless joins and safety lockstitch, unlike competitors which use a chain stitch which can easily unravel if split.

Our GeoDams have been designed in such a way that they mould and maintain pressure in any environment or space.

How Do They Work? 

Murlac GeoDams use positive pressure from the water inside to create a water tight seal which is very useful for situations where the water is not as fast and the GeoDam control height is not exceeded. GeoDams are designed to control 75% of their overall height. For example a 1.2m high GeoDam is designed to control 900mm of water from a firm bed.

The two internal polythene water filled tubes are encased within the outer geotextile tube to prevent rolling.

Easy To Use

GeoDams can be deployed without the need for specialist assistance. Aside from the unique design, our GeoDams also consist of a durable, puncture-proof material making them great for use on construction sites.

We provide 24/7 support and advice for installation and maintenance guidance.

Specialist site teams are also available to provide watercourse assessments, site surveys and installations.
